Denali Expedition 2008

I am returning to Denali in 2008. After a disappointing trip in 2007 in which bad luck ended my trip at Windy Corner 13,500 feet. You can read about last year’s trip in my trip report or read my article on success or failure in climbing which cam e form my Denali experience.

Here is a link to MountEverest.net they are highlighting the injustice that is currently going on at Base Camp on Mount Everest. The Chinese have banned all climbers from climbing the north side 2 weeks before climbers were to arrive to climb. Also though murder, violence, and threats they have forced the Nepal side of Everest to close until May 10th when they summit Everest from the north side and light the Olympic touch on the summit. They have closed this down so that there will be no protesters or any one saying “Free Tibet” anywhere in the Everest region during this time. They have also seized all cell phones, cameras, sat phones, and other communication devices from climbers so that no one can report any things anti china during this time. Please read about the horribly brutal oppression China is doing to keep the summer Olympics protest free they are going to great lengths to crush free speech.
